Emergency Dental Care

Dental emergencies don't wait for business hours — and neither do we. Spinel Dental reserves time for same-day emergency appointments, with weekend and after-hours availability. If you're in pain, call or text 905-318-6106 right now and we'll get you seen.

We treat every kind of dental emergency

  • Severe toothache or throbbing pain that keeps you up at night
  • Knocked-out, loosened, or displaced teeth
  • Broken, cracked, or chipped teeth and lost fillings or crowns
  • Dental abscess — swelling of the gum, face, or jaw
  • Bleeding that won't stop after an extraction or injury
  • Broken dentures or orthodontic appliances cutting your mouth

What to do right now

  1. Knocked-out adult tooth

Handle it by the crown (not the root), rinse gently, and try to place it back in the socket — or keep it in milk. Get to us within 60 minutes if possible; speed matters most here.

  2. Severe toothache

Rinse with warm salt water, floss gently to dislodge trapped food, and take your usual pain reliever. Never place an aspirin against the gum — it burns the tissue.

  3. Swelling of the face or jaw

This can signal a spreading infection — call us immediately. If you have trouble breathing or swallowing, go straight to the nearest emergency room.

  4. Broken tooth or lost crown

Save any pieces, rinse your mouth, and cover sharp edges with dental wax or sugar-free gum until we see you.

Pain relief first, lecture never

Our first priority is getting you out of pain — then we'll explain your options clearly, with written costs, so you can decide on next steps without pressure. Haven't seen a dentist in years? You'll get nothing but help here.

Good to know

Dental Emergencies — your questions answered

Do you take emergency patients who aren't existing patients?

Yes — new patients are always welcome, especially in an emergency. Call or text 905-318-6106 and we'll fit you in, usually the same day.

How much does an emergency visit cost?

The emergency exam and X-ray are quoted up front when you call. We bill insurance directly, accept CDCP, and offer financing — pain relief shouldn't have to wait for payday.

What if my emergency happens on a weekend?

Call or text us anyway — we offer weekend and after-hours appointments, and our voicemail directs you to help when the office is closed.

Should I go to the ER instead?

Go to the emergency room for uncontrolled bleeding, facial trauma, or swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. For everything dental — hospitals generally can't treat teeth — call us.
